When Toros Restaurant approached us, they already had a concept in mind — they admired the branding of a popular UAE-based eatery called Yoko and wanted something very similar. Their goal was to mirror Yoko’s look and feel, believing this would bring them similar success.
However, this posed a significant challenge. Replicating another brand not only stifles creativity and differentiation but can also raise concerns around copyright and authenticity. Toros risked launching with an identity that lacked originality and relevance to their own market.
Our challenge was clear: to help Toros shift their mindset from imitation to innovation — to carve out a unique brand inspired by what they admired, yet firmly rooted in their own story and strengths.

Refining the Vision
We started with brand workshops to help the team reflect on their values, goals, and customer base. This helped move the focus away from copying Yoko and towards answering key questions:

By identifying their USP (unique selling point) and long-term brand vision, we laid the foundation for an identity that would stand out — not blend in.
Designing a Distinct Visual Identity
Yes, we took cues from the energy and modern feel of Yoko, but the final design was all Toros. We developed a brand identity that felt bold, youthful, and full of personality from a custom logo design to a vibrant colour palette and brand typography that gave Toros its own voice.
Every visual element was tailored to communicate who Toros is not who they were trying to mimic.
Menus & Signage That Turn Heads
We created a modern, visually striking menu that matched their cuisine and customer expectations. The menu layout and photography reflected the dynamic nature of the brand while offering clear readability and an upscale aesthetic.
Signage was designed to maximise street visibility and brand recognition. Bold yet refined, it helped make Toros easily recognisable, both outdoors and within the restaurant.
Bringing the Brand to Life Through Interiors
To complete the transformation, we translated the new branding into the restaurant’s interior design. Think: energetic colours, modern lighting, sleek furniture, and curated wall features all working together to create a space that was stylish, welcoming, and unmistakably Toros.
